The competition runs as an accompanying program at Data Point Prague 2024 through an online form.
You can participate by filling out the registration details in the online form. By filling out the competition form, you express and confirm your agreement with these competition rules, which are posted on the conference website.

Competition Duration and Winner Announcement:
The “Scan to Play & Win QUIZ” competition will be held on May 31, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The winners will be announced on the day of the event.
Competition Rules:
These rules (hereinafter referred to as “Rules”) are the only document that bindingly governs the rules of the consumer competition “Scan – Play – Win QUIZZ” (hereinafter referred to as “competition”). The competition will be available in an online form for participants of the Data Point Prague 2024 conference in Prague.
1. Competition Organizer:
The organizer of the competition is DataBrothers s.r.o., located at Karla Engliše 3221/2, Smíchov, 150 00 Prague 5, ID: 07080794, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, file no. C 294333 (hereinafter referred to as “Organizer”).
2. Competition Date and Location:
The competition will take place at the Microsoft Office Prague (Vyskočilova 1561/4a, 140 00 Prague 4), at the Data Point Prague 2024 conference on May 31, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (hereinafter referred to as “competition duration” and “competition location”).
3. Participants:
Participants must be competent individuals over 15 years old, attending the Data Point Prague 2024 conference and who fill out the registration online form. By doing so, the participant also expresses and confirms their agreement with these Rules.
Employees of the Organizer, conference partners, and their close persons as per § 22 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, are excluded from the competition. The Organizer reserves the right to exclude any participant from the competition without entitlement to the prize or justification if there is suspicion of conduct contrary to these Rules.
4. Competition Principle and Conditions:
Participants join the competition by filling out the registration form and answering all quiz questions. Each participant can enter the competition only once. The Organizer may verify the identity of the winner when handing over the prize by requesting the winner to sign a declaration of compliance with these Rules. Refusal to sign such a declaration excludes the participant from the competition and the prize will not be awarded.
Winners:
All participants who meet the competition conditions, i.e., who filled out the registration form and answered all quiz questions correctly, will be entered into a prize draw. The draw will take place at the end of the conference program using a random number generator. If there are not enough participants or enough participants do not meet the conditions for winning prizes, or if some winners refuse the prize, the unallocated prizes revert to the Organizer, who may decide their further use.
Announcement and Contacting Winners:
Winners will be announced in person on the day of the event (at the end of the conference program). Personal attendance at the draw is therefore a condition for winning. If the winner is not present at the time of the draw, their prize will revert to the Organizer, who may decide whether to continue the draw or not.
5. Prizes and Their Distribution:
The winner will be announced in person on the day of the event (during the conference program) by the Organizer. For prize delivery purposes, the Organizer may request the winner to provide personal contact details, i.e., name, surname, phone number, and other personal data required by the Organizer for prize settlement.
The prize will be handed over to the winner on site.
If the participant is not present at the draw and the Organizer decides not to repeat the draw, the prize reverts to the Organizer without compensation. The Organizer is not responsible for loss, damage, or non-delivery of the prize due to the participant’s actions.
6. Processing of Personal Data
Personal data of each contest participant in the following scope: name and surname, email address, company name, and possibly other personal data required by the Organizer for the purpose of prize settlement, provided by the contest participant during their participation in the contest, will be processed by the Organizer, as this processing is necessary due to the Organizer’s legitimate interest, i.e., for the purposes of running the contest, informing the participant about the prize, and delivering the prizes. Thus, the Organizer is the controller of these personal data.
The provision of the aforementioned personal data is a condition for participation in the contest, informing the participant about the prize, and delivering the prize. The aforementioned personal data will be processed for a period of one year. After the purpose of processing ceases, the participant’s personal data will be deleted, unless there is another legal reason for their further processing.
The contest participant has the right to request access to their personal data, their correction or deletion, or restriction of processing, and to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability. The processing of personal data by the Organizer is subject to the supervision of the Office for Personal Data Protection, which may coordinate its activities with other national authorities in other member states of the European Union. If the contest participant believes that any processing of their personal data is in violation of legal regulations, they have the right to file a complaint against the processing of personal data with the Office for Personal Data Protection at the address: www.uoou.cz. The contest participant can contact the Organizer at any time at the address listed in the header of these Rules or at the email address info@databrothers.cz.
7. Other Conditions of the Contest
The participant must not interfere with the technical security of the servers on which the contest is conducted, nor disrupt or threaten the operation of these servers in any way. The Organizer reserves the right to shorten, interrupt, cancel, or change the Rules of the contest without providing a reason. The Organizer also reserves the right to exchange the prizes specified in these Rules for other prizes that are equivalent replacements, without providing a reason.
There is no legal entitlement to prizes in the contest. Enforcing participation in the contest or contest prizes through legal means is excluded. In the event of changes to the contest Rules, this will be done in writing in the form of an addendum and published in these Rules. The change takes effect at the moment of publication according to the previous sentence. The Organizer is not responsible for any damages caused in connection with the use of the prizes. The Organizer of the contest is not responsible for any qualitative or functional defects of the prizes.
The Organizer is authorized to decide all questions and disputes related to this contest at its discretion and without providing reasons. The Organizer assumes no obligations towards the contest participants, and they have no right to any other performances from the Organizer. The Organizer is not responsible for any technical problems arising during the transmission of data by electronic means. The participant undertakes to provide only truthful information in the contest. The Organizer is not responsible for any problems with the functionality of the website where information about the contest will be published.
The contest and the relationships between the participant and the contest organizer are governed by the legal order of the Czech Republic.
